Volunteering Opportunities

As a Volunteer Centre, Our Role is to:
- Match people who want to volunteer with organisations needing volunteers
- Promote volunteering to all sectors of the community
- Support and promote good practice in the involvement of volunteers
- Help develop new volunteering opportunities
- Promote volunteering opportunities on behalf of organisations in the area
- Comment and campaign on issues which affect volunteers and volunteering
- Play an active role in the strategic development of volunteering.
Volunteering and Young People
You can gain so much by volunteering as a young person, such as:
- Making a difference to a cause, individuals or an organisation that you are passionate about
- Meeting new people
- Having fun
- Gaining new skills and enhancing the ones you already have
- Boosting your CV, UCAS and employability

To submit details of your Volunteering Opportunity you can either:

- Send an e-mail to [email protected]
- Visit us in person at our Barton Road offices
- Download the application form HERE.
Completed forms can be returned to us either by e-mail, post, or hand delivered in person.
Once we have received your Volunteering Opportunity details, we will:
- Promote your vacancy on our website which allows people to search for suitable volunteering opportunities in the area
- Send you the details of any prospective volunteers
- Keep you updated on progress
